The Sound Barrier CV12 active loudspeakers are designed to deliver rich, extended low-end and natural high-frequency extension in a compact and durable enclosure. With a powerful 1000W RMS / 2000W Peak Class D (Bi-amp) power and user-friendly digital tuning functions, the CV12 is suitable for both mobile and installed sound applications. It features a 1” exit (1.35” VC) compression driver, 12″ woofer, and a constant directivity waveguide, offering coherent 90° x 60° coverage for the listening area with up to 128 dB SPL, ensuring distortion-free sound. The Sound Barrier CV12 is versatile and can be used as a satellite (with subwoofer), stage monitor, or flown, making it an ideal choice for various sound setups. It is specifically built for live sound applications and comes with multiple rigging points for fixed installation. The CV series’ built-in DSP processing system is precisely tuned for each model, delivering absolute clarity and deep, powerful bass response. Additionally, the rugged all-wood cabinet is easy to transport and can be securely installed on a pole, flown, wall, or truss-mounted using the dedicated rigging points available.

Simple Customization

DSP is included in all CV Series loudspeakers. Presets allow customization for live sound, club, and speech applications, while treble and bass controls enable a 10 dB boost or cut to compensate for room anomalies. Location presets optimize performance for pole-mount, bracket, and monitor applications.

Class D Amplifier and Flexible Inputs

The CV series full-range loudspeakers offer a choice of inputs for various sources, including a combo XLR mic/TRS line input with high-quality microphone preamplifier, independent gain control, and MIC / LINE switch. The XLR Mix output allows for signal pass-through to other CV series loudspeakers.

Multi-position mounting and rigging

Mounting options for the CV series full-range cabinets are incredibly versatile, with multi-angle enclosure, nonskid rubber feet for front-of-house and stage monitor applications, M10 fly points, ground-stacking, tripod mounting, and integration with CV series subwoofers using an optional crank sub pole – the PM2035. The integrated dual-position pole mount allows for aiming the speaker level or at a 7.5˚ downward tilt.
