Eric’s take : We got our hands on the first J50 in the US and I have to tell you, this console is a hit.  With 96 inputs, I thought I’d want more faders, but with the way the UI is laid out – it’s the perfect size.  Classic Cadac sound, true LCR mixing, 56 configurable busses as matrix, groups, or auxiliary, and a 23.5″ LCD touch screen make this quite a desk.

Cadac’s exceptional gesture-based navigation, via an impressively large 23.5-inch optically bonded touchscreen, allows the user to fluidly scroll through the console’s 96 input channels and 56 busses. A simple swipe, touch and turn gives you complete creative control of the audio, with the faders and encoders seamlessly mapping to the screen’s active functions, resulting in a truly intuitive mix experience.

The unique combination of a compact form factor, exceptional user interface, legendary Cadac mic-pre’s, state-of-the art DSP and FPGA processing, coupled with astonishingly low latency, makes the CM-J50 an incredible proposition for those who do not want to compromise on either audio quality or creativity.

The Cadac name has been synonymous with premium quality audio mixing consoles for over 50 years. ​ Formed in 1968 Cadac derived its name from the first letter of each of the founder’s Christian names; Clive (Green), Adrian (Kerridge), David (Bott) And Charles (Billet). The first Cadac console from the newly formed company went to the legendary recording studio Morgan Studios. Cadac's reputation for superior audio lead to consoles being installed in numerous prestigious recording studios across the globe and were responsible for the superlative audio quality of countless iconic albums.
